The Benefits of Foreign Language

Many knowledgeable people agree on certain benefits of learning other languages :
It makes you smarter.
It boosts academic achievement.
It provides professional and career advantages.
It provides broader access to education and information.
It gives you more social and global skills.
It makes life more interesting.
It increases national security ( certain federal agencies support this claim.)
I would like to add some reasons dear to me personally :
I believe that the experience improves foreign language students' ability to appreciate their own language. It helps them develop self confidence for public speaking and conversation.
It develops their ' musico- poetic' ears and mouths, forming a special outlet for creativity.
